The OSN is actively involved in the scientific community.  Many of the participants attend various meetings throughout the year.  Below, one can view several of the conferences that were attended in previous years.

January - March

    • Sunshine Brosi presents about the OSN and the Ethnobotany Program at Frostburg State University
    • OSN will have an advertisement in the brochure and a table at this event
April - June
  • International Association for Landscape Ecology (US-IALE), 25th Anniversary Symposium, Is What Human's Do Natural (April  5-9) Athens, GA
    • Joe Ferrari, University of Maryland--Appalachian Laboratory, will present research conducted with Sunshine Brosi at Frostburg State University on a habitat model for black cohosh

    • Theme: Continuity and change in ethnopharmacology: Transdisciplinary sience for our future.
    • Will McClatchey and Sofia Vougioukalou will introduce the Open Science Network as a tool for community engagement in Ina Vandebroek's workshop: 'Use of ethnobotanical results in outreach and education: from community workshops to curriculum development and cultural sensitivity training.'
